PERSONAL MENTION.

A. Gilchrist has gone for a short trip to Omaha.

Prof. Aughey returned from Georgetown, Colo., yesterday.

Pillsberry E. Snow, a clerk in the Pacific express office here, has gone home to New Hampshire on a visit.

Frank Cushman, the famous minstrel, and Francis Leon, his partner, famed as a female impersonator, were on the west bound train last night going to Australia.

Manager Boardman returned from Denver last night. While there he made arrangements with the opera house management for a good many excellent attractions for the season.

Mrs. Hugh Barton and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gracie Gibson, arrived in the city last evening, and are stopping at the Simmons hotel. Mr. Gibson accompanied Mr. Barton from Emerson, Ia., to New York, where Mr. Barton leaves for a visit to England on the 2nd inst., in the steamship City of Rome. His friends and associates wish him a safe and happy journey and speedy return.
