JANE ANDERSON, a girl of eighteen, was recently arrested in Cincinnati for appearing in improper attire. She told the policemen that she had worn boys clothing for three years, and that her sex remained undiscovered, although during that time she has been employed upon the steamers on Lake Erie as a cook, steward, [etc.] She was quite willing to discard the pantaloons and resume the garments of her sex if they would provide the crinoline, her own wardrobe being scanty.
