A "fast woman" of Cheyenne, who is known as "Charlie Clark," and is just now receiving a good deal of attention from the magistrates of that city, served in the Federal army under Grand and other Union Generals through the whole war without her sex being discovered. She was in numerous engagements, and once severely wounded. At the close of the rebellion she came to Colorado, and still retaining her disguise, worked over a year in the mines. At last, becoming tired and worn out with this life, she came to Cheyenne, where she once more donned female attire, and went into a dance-house. As a soldier, she was brave and cool; as a miner, steady and industrious--but she has sadly fallen from her high estate.
