Probe of Undesirables Approved by Committee
An investigation of the employment of homosexuals by the Federal Government has been approved by the Senate Expenditures Committee.
The approval was voted, 10 to 0, yesterday, and the proposal now goes to the Senate Rules Committee for clearance. Quick Senate approval is expected.
The committee asked $25,000 for the inquiry but took no action in naming a subcommittee to conduct the investigation. It was requested by the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee after hearing testimony by a Washington police official estimating 3,750 perverts are employed by the Government here.
